In New Mexico, Lea County is ranked 24th of 33 counties in Health Departments per capita, and 13th of 33 counties in Health Departments per square mile. In nearby Eddy County now has 466 cases. The agency reports that given the infectious nature of the virus it is likely other residents are infected but yet to be tested or confirmed positive.
