There are some performances again are kinda terrible the villains and even some of the supporting players are not the best. 9/10 I honestly didn't think I would like this movie as much as I did. The two of them have incredible chemistry and great back and forth while never feeling bored. But I do feel like the medicoreness of this film actually is a benefit. He is beyond fantastic in this film and he absolutely steals the show. The end not the ending the actual end of the film the last minute ends so abundantly and a line that is so corny and cheesy it is pretty bad. When this film is with the two teenage girls it is incredibly unsettling and creepy. But I do love movies of the 80's and music of the 80's this movie is a perfect balance of 80's action and today's shock and awe that today audiences are craving for. The Meg (2018) What is there really to say. Along with films will include t.v. No not really. Which this film has an amazing opening action sequence that will blow you away of thinking what you can do with animation. So while I am not in love with this movie, I think the science fiction elements work really well. Some actors in this are really good but some of the performances are either not written really well or directed really well. And keeps you on edge for so much it. I understood what happened and can see what Alex had intended what he had in mind for Portman's character because there is so much care for her and Portman gives it her all. But I really like this movie and the music is well used throughout the film. I had a blast. But when Lynne Ramsay brilliant direction hits into high gear there is no turning back. So go see it and make your own mind.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) 5. But never was I scared in the last 20 minutes as much compared to the first hour and 40 minutes. At only 75 minutes it is able to capture a terrific broken down relationship between a brother and sister so affectedly it leaves off screen. 8/10 This is a blast of a film. I know it is a comic book fun action film, however I think that Ryan Coogler and company have made some really interesting points we are seeing in today's world. The acting is great, the high octane action ramps up to a 11 for a pleasant viewing, and just like all the Marvel movies it is really funny. It has everything a film like this should have. And again I'm a 21 year old male who doesn't have kids and didn't go to prom. But I do love this movie so much. April 2018's best movies were Sgt. It pulls the rug out from under you. Anyway Love, Simon to me isn't as funny as many people say, it didn't make me cry, and damnit Hannah Baker doing the same crap with no boy will ever love me attitude. Yes. Hereditary not the movie the pure meaning of the word existence in this film but in a very predictable way with so much style it can distract some people from what is actually happening. I thought these dogs that used to be house pets are now on their own. June 2018's best movies were Intersection, Zoo, Superfly and Sicario: Day of the Soldado. Mainly because the film presents itself as a surface level revenge flick. The direction is perfectly shot movie with camera work that I adore. But again that is a selfish reason. But all that can feel bland and stale because this is just a real dark tone with serious dark undertones of feeling depressed and alone. Stubby: An American Hero, Avengers: Infinity War, The Miracle Season and Disobedience. It is a really fun thriller that is reminisce of the great work from Hitchcock and De Palma. He reprises that painful journey with the deftness of a veteran actor. The director, the lead actress, and even the film itself is put together so professional that a genre lover like myself couldn't help but to love this crazy insane flick. The movie has both amazing action and humor it will put anyone who watches this film in an amazing mood.
