Outdoor dining and shopping along the street will be from Friday afternoons through Sunday evenings.Several Marin cities are also offering temporary outdoor seating permits to restaurants through the duration of the pandemic. The city is considering street closures on portions of Miller, Sunnyside and Throckmorton avenues, and the council has authorized City Manager Alan Piombo to allow businesses to operate in the Downtown Plaza near the Depot.Councilwoman Tricia Ossa, however, expressed concern about the street closures, echoing comments made by residents who live on Sunnyside Avenue.“I’m asking because there are residences on that street,” Ossa said. “How does a closure on Magnolia Avenue impact the Central Marin Fire Authority’s operations given the location of the downtown station?
