Heidi spent around 30 hours in the world of Dragon Ball Fusions, collecting an army of the strongest Saiyans, Namekians, and other odd combinations of characters to fill out her team of ultimate warriors. While these initially replicate the dynamism of the fights in the anime and manga, repeatedly seeing the same animations greatly diminishes their impact over time.Zenkai attacks, which use stock from a bar that charges over the course of battle, briefly turn the game into an action aerial dogfight where you slug it out one-on-one with a chosen enemy for big-time damage. It’s definitely impressive seeing such a wide world rendered on 3DS, but it’s there for what feels like no reason.The highlight of Dragon Ball Fusions has got to be its battle system, and some entertaining fusions for fans – but honestly, after hours playing with the combat I can’t help but come down on thinking it’s not the best? Soon they find themselves in a world of floating islands and waterfalls that run off into the endless abyss – along with a bunch of powerful foes, of course.Here the game takes characters you’re familiar with, along with brand new characters roughly styled after Toriyama favorites, and worlds collide. Positioning can help get big damage, as a Kamehameha against a single enemy does decent damage, but if your opponent is surrounded by his pals it’ll do even more.It requires being smart about the moves you use too, of course. Visually Completing the core storyline will not be a difficult task, as the AI is easy to overpower.

There are towns to visit along the way that offer side quests, places to shop, and people to chat with. I want to love it, but I can’t fathom sitting through that story again. Side missions can offer a nasty challenge though, especially tournaments in which a ring-out means the defeat of a character.
A melee attack will send enemies flying – and those that fly out of the arena will take extra damage and be sent to the back of the queue for turns – while energy attacks often have a greater range and do damage to multiple foes. Melee attacking enemies will show them being sent flying by your blows, and when knocked out of the ring you often see a short scene with them being flung into a mountain before the cliff face breaks apart – in true Dragon Ball fashion, of course.
Dragon Ball Fusion doesn't revolutionize the RPG genre, or add so much to Toriyama universe, and yet is able to entertain, even if not for an exorbitant number of hours.
When I first saw it I thought it looked interesting but never imagined I'd have so much fun playing it. PS4 While the flying feels very awkward and the unique fighting system can take awhile to get used to, the abundance of available fusions and lighthearted nature make Dragon Ball Fusions a genuinely fun experience. If you’re launching a melee attack against a foe, you can try to knock them in a direction where another ally character will hit them, or you can smash them against another enemy for a pool-style ricochet effect.
This positioning proves to be very important in numerous ways. The success of the Dragon Ball Fusions War also boosted the sensitivity of nitrogen.
For example, if you’re close to friendly characters, they can help the fighter you’re currently commanding land some extra damage. It features a huge character roster from Dragon Ball all the way to Dragon Ball Super.
The RNG in the game would have to be it's weakest point (currently on world 4 out of 6 at time of writing this) followed by the strength/weakness trinity system and how each character fits into one of those (and how rare it is to find them... looking at you Power types). This game has great positive messages, cool are the absolute snowflakes out of the way, thanks. If you fall into either of those categories, then I have no reservations about recommending this.
