I wish to share my experience during the adventure with you through this blog.
In comparison, a la carte stove systems require more research and thought.A Jetboil system includes an integrated burner, pot, and windscreen. The centerpiece of the MicroMo ($130, 12 oz), MiniMo ($135, 14.6 oz), and SUMO ($140, 16.0 oz) is the MightyMo burner, which is regulated and available as a standalone product ($50, 3.3 oz). The Prime Tech might be a little more stable, it’s an updated version, but it’ll land you somewhere between a regular pot and the jetboil. It would not surprise me if they chopped it in the interest of tightening their product line.
The problem comes with it mostly isn't the cold In addition to the width, as I illustrated many times earlier Flash is considerably taller than Minimo, which causes it to tilt very easily in the wind.
If you're looking for the best backpacking stove in the wind, you might be better clicking over to the MSR Windburner: Coffee press is the most popular accessory (sold separately) and different models are compatible for both of these models. I didn’t ask why they dropped it. They're being used perfectly fine by thousands of people for almost a decade.Another thing to note on the weight department is that even though these stoves can be regarded somewhat "heavier" after other brands came up with very light models, as to how much fuel you should carry for your trip. Jetboil MicroMo vs. MiniMo vs. SUMO. I thank you for your excellent response to my questions. You may also share your good experiences with us here. For winter camping, it can be a bit tricky, but you can easily throw the canister in your sleeping bag to help keep it warm for breakfast.Sadly, this is no longer in their line, because the weight difference between it and a hand-picked system is so small that you could more easily overlook it. The reason behind this time gap is the size of the canister. They are no different in that respect.
We also found that the MiniMo has a slightly less secure feeling attachment with a little wobble, compared to the solid connection of the WindBurner.
Gusty winds will still blow the stove out, but, despite this, we think this is a great stove for backpackers (or alpine climbers) who are eating simple meals and want a cooking system that is light and fuel-efficient. This burner does not get rusted or corroded at all and thus serves for the longest period without any problem. The support to the pot of the cooking stove also provided in both cooking systems. The tripod to the canister in the Jetboil Flash and Jetboil Zip is also present which benefits you during the storage time. You can carry both devices easily with you owing to their lightweight. Actually, REI refused to replace them after a while.Have the Sol Titanium as well, and if all you need is to boil water for tea and freeze-dried meals, it’s an extremely convenient solution.Back in the day, people that tried cooking in the Sol Titanium has the flux ring welds break, so JetBoil printed an advisory on their later editions of the Sol Titanium stating that the Titanium was for ONLY boiling water (no cooking) and later phased them out entirely. While it’s not as light as my SnowPeak 600 system, don’t have to be as careful about burning myself with the Sol Titanium, the insulation sleeve and lid work great.I have a range of stoves from the uber light and simple cat can stove up to the JetBoil MiniMo. The Jetboil Minimo wins the Jetboil Flash in this one.
The cooking cup on the Flash and the MiniMo hold 1 liter of foods or liquids. These Mo … I have a huge passion for hiking and camping. Lose the cup and it comes in at a fairly light 9.1oz. Finally, just went to the aluminum Sol with no further trouble. It is one of the more fuel-efficient stoves available on the market. Jetboil provided me with a Flash to try out and I absolutely love it. The wider pot design & fuel efficiency matches well with the ability to simmer, since if I’m willing to take the heavier MiniMo in the first place I may also be doing some actual cooking. I also was able to simmer pasta sauce pretty well with a more spread out heat profile.
It’s a great fit for short backpacking trips or kayak/canoe trips.
