This text is a standard presentation of the material drawing references from travel by car, psychology, engineering, biology, physics, and economics, which seems typical. In addition, the book suggests access to online resources for additional instruction and practice with topic of each section. For example, it avoids archaic constructions like "we first develop", "we first look at", and "let us investigate", which I find stultifying in Sullivan.
