Many puzzles involve a two-dimensional Link wrapping himself around the walls of 3D environment to reach switches and chests nestled atop faraway platforms, slithering through thin cracks to enter new areas, or even traversing between two worlds by shimmying through the fissures that connect them. It's not just a feature you'll use to get at the odd treasure chest, either, as Nintendo has done a fantastic job deeply intertwining every area of the game in ways that can only be accessed as a painting, as well as layering it as a required step in other puzzles. The game looks brilliant. It's only the visual style that slightly disappoints me.
Aside from the dimension shifting mechanic, A Link between Worlds plays very much like A Link to the Past.
Don't get me wrong, I don't doubt the game's quality - but I can't afford to tackle Not to be a buzz kill but I want to see it on my big screen TV not some wimpy hand held device! Can't wait!
iv already pre-ordred it (the GAME exclusive Colectors Edition) + seeing the 3D screens on the E'Shop was nice i was curious on haw the 3D Was going to lookYet again most reviewers don't see too easy or too short as a problem. Sorry Mario Party, your going to have to wait, probably.
Good, long review nevertheless.Getting amazing reviews across the board. I've never seen a 10 out of 10 for a review by NL until now. it has been a year and a half since I actually bought a cartridge for that mofo Still not too excited for this for whatever reason, despite being a big Zelda fan.The guy that reviewed it on pocketgamer.co.uk claimed to not have died once in the entire game. It demands that the player explores the vibrant world that Nintendo has recreated and traverse it in ways which previously would never have been possible. In this regard, the painting transformation mechanic truly is the game’s biggest success. I have not had a Nintendo handheld since the Gameboy. But as is the case with all shifty salespeople, there's a pretty big catch: if you fall in battle, he reclaims There's a wealth of items on offer to help you in your quest to save the land of Hyrule, many of which are brand new to the series.
Each dungeon builds to this confrontation, which comes as a thrilling, thumping, all-action crescendo after all the careful and thoughtful exploration. Many of these boss encounters are riffs on adversaries originally encountered in A Link to the Past, albeit with a new spin on how they need to be defeated. It seems very puzzle heavy, no world exploration (hence the streamline you praise), no storytelling. Minus Dtoid who ended up rating it a 6.5. You'll find yourself swapping forms to reach every corner of the dungeon to scrounge up all of the hidden chests and rupees--plus, the ability to flatten yourself against walls spawns mind-bogglingly challenging puzzles. But while many elements of this sequel are familiar, this is a fantastic standalone adventure that excels on its own individual merits.A Link Between Worlds is molded by the history it treats with reverence, but the game quickly creates an identity of its own.
Great review too!
With the series' classic isometric perspective, A Link Between Worlds makes excellent use of the console's 3D capabilities. The 22nd needs to get here.. STAT!ALttP was already one of my favorite (if not my absolute favorite) Zelda games.
Much like the legendary Master Sword that features throughout the series, this game is beautifully crafted and offers a superbly streamlined and timeless gameplay experience.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is a new game with a new storyline set in world of the Super NES classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Glad to hear it's s quality game, though.Wow, pleasantly surprised.
It seems like Nintendo has shown they can take 3D Land and up the ante with 3D World so I expect the same for the next Zelda game on the Wii U.No storytelling!?
Is this Nintendo Life's first 10/10 for the 3DS? SOLD!! In our playthrough of the game, we saw the Game Over screen a few times, and we would have likely seen it even more if it weren't for the fact that we made sure to keep stocking up on fairies as we went along. But not only is it much easier to die in A Link Between Worlds, it also carries pretty disastrous consequences, too. That's not usually the way it goes. Not sure when I'll get to this. I'll be fine playing SM3DW from.
